When the tips of our gum trees started to blush with the first sign of colour we knew that it was time to head north and then each day making our way down a new road, never knowing what glorious sight might await us.
Anna would navigate and I would happily drive long distances knowing that we wouldn’t often be dissapointed.
The countryside which for most of the year would be covered with the red dirt we were so familiar with would be transformed.
Almost as though we had been trnsported to a a parallel world, this world was filled with coloured shrubs and flowers of every description everywhere you turned, and as far as the eye could see.
